Montelago Celtic Festival: A few kilometers away from our B&B, in Taverne (municipality Serravalle di Chienti), in the center of the plateau of Colfiorito, takes place every year, on the first weekend of August, the International Festival of Celtic culture and music.
An exceptional mix of Celtic traditions, nature and sport. Known worldwide, each year the attendance increases, with about 20,000 people who comes every year.

At night, the magic atmosphere is full of Celtic music, Celtic-Folk and Celtic-Rock, with non-stop concerts until dawn, of Italian and International bands. 36 hours of non-stop music … bagpipes, violins, harps and guitars are the stars.
During the day, you enjoy the feeling of freedom and full contact with nature. Fantasy games, games for children, craft markets, bagpipes lessons, harp, ancient swordplay and archery. It’s exciting to watch the ancient combat simulation with celtic costumes and romantic druids marriages.

Regarding sport, the rugby sevens tournament “flowers of Montelago” sponsored by the Italian Rugby Federation, annually attracts more participants from all over Italy. There also take place competitions as trunk throwing, stone throwing and tug of war.

All over the festival it takes place waste recycling and has a unique environment, amazing food cooked by the stands of the nearby villages and the magic of hydromel, Celtic drink par excellence.
It is a festival for adults and children, men and women, that you can not miss.
From this year, the fabulous Dawn of Mount Pennino will be one of the protagonists of the program.

Il Nido dell’Aquila: Each year, Mount Pennino becomes part of an extraordinary competition, the automobile race “Il Nido dell’Aquila”. Two intense days of high-level sport. “A name, a guarantee” was the last year’s slogan, only its name evokes passion, adrenaline, sport and entertainment; feeling unique sensations while climbing Mount Pennino thorugh rough road to 1500 meters high. This year the length of the trail will increase, reaching a total of 12.5 km. You can not miss this excitement, diving into the wild to enjoyimg the show.
From our B&B, you can reach Mount Pennino in few minutes.

Street parties: All summer, street parties take place in the surrounding villages.
In these festivals you can discover the hospitality of the inhabitants of this territory, homemade and genuine cuisine, music, cards competitions, all events and the joy that is breathed in these cool summer nights.
